Role Overview

• Provide direct support for the ongoing education and tuition fee payments of children in Uganda, ensuring consistent access to schooling and learning materials.
• No prior expertise or specialized background is required; complete training and personalized guidance will be provided on-site to equip you for success in this meaningful role.
• Actively assist in teaching basic subjects, organizing educational activities, and engaging with children through play, storytelling, and creative exercises to foster their development.
• Demonstrate genuine love, care, and emotional support to each child, promoting a safe, nurturing, and encouraging environment that helps build their confidence and well-being.
• Bring forward new ideas, initiatives, and creative approaches to uplift the project, improve daily operations, and contribute to building a brighter, more sustainable future for the community.
• Collaborate with local staff and volunteers to monitor children's progress, identify areas needing additional support, and adjust activities to maximize positive impact.
• Participate in community outreach efforts to raise awareness about the importance of education and child welfare, helping to strengthen the project's reach and effectiveness.
• Maintain respectful and culturally sensitive interactions with children, families, and community members, honoring local traditions while promoting universal values of care and learning.

Location Details

• Position is based in Mugona South village, a rural community in eastern Uganda, offering an immersive cultural experience and the chance to make a tangible difference.
• Primary work site is located at Bukooli College, along walkway street on Kirongo Road, easily accessible from nearby towns and villages.
• Accommodation and basic amenities are available in close proximity to the project site, ensuring convenience and safety during your stay.
• The surrounding area features local markets, community centers, and natural landscapes, providing opportunities for exploration and connection with the vibrant Ugandan way of life.
