Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth across all product lines, including digital advertising, events, listings, and sponsorships.
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing of high-value deals with corporate clients and agencies.
  • Manage and grow relationships with key clients, advertising agencies, and corporate partners to ensure long-term retention and account expansion.
  • Identify and onboard new strategic partners that align with the company's growth objectives and market positioning.
  • Ensure seamless client onboarding and delivery of all contractual commitments, maintaining high service standards.
  • Oversee revenue performance, sales forecasting, and pipeline management, providing regular reports to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to design compelling commercial packages and go-to-market strategies for clients.
  • Lead and support the execution of flagship events such as BizMix, webinars, and partner events, ensuring strong sponsorship acquisition and partner engagement.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform pricing, positioning, and growth strategy.
  • Drive email marketing and outbound campaigns to generate qualified leads and nurture prospects through the sales funnel.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or commercial strategy, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets in a B2B environment, preferably within media, events, digital platforms, or advertising.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing corporate partnerships and securing event sponsorships.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian market landscape, including corporate and SME dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and pipeline management platforms.
