Role Overview
- The Talent Acquisition & HR Development Assistant plays a critical role in accelerating Lapaire's growth in Uganda by supporting high-volume recruitment, building robust candidate pipelines, and coordinating internal training logistics. This junior position ensures a seamless candidate experience and helps organize performance and development inputs to scale team capabilities across all branches in the region.
- Location: Kampala, Uganda. Reporting line: Uganda Operations Manager & HQ HR Development Team in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. This dual reporting structure provides you with unique exposure to both local operational needs and strategic HR initiatives from our headquarters, offering a comprehensive learning environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Background & Experience: Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Psychology, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in HR development and/or talent acquisition within a corporate environment or HR agency. Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth organization is highly desirable, as is familiarity with recruitment in retail or service-oriented sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and job boards such as LinkedIn and JazzHR. Strong command of Google Suite applications including Docs, Forms, and Sheets for data management, reporting, and collaboration. Knowledge of HR analytics tools or survey platforms is a plus.
- Personal Profile: Energetic, dynamic, and fast-moving with outstanding communication and presentation skills. Solution-oriented with an inquisitive mind, persistent with excellent organizational and tracking habits. Ability to thrive in a multicultural, entrepreneurial environment where adaptability and a proactive approach are essential. You must be comfortable working independently and as part of a distributed team, with a strong commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
