Job Summary

As a Growth Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of marketing, data, and code. You will build automated sales funnels, optimize our SaaS product for user acquisition, and handle technical customer support. Your goal is to bridge the gap between building the product and finding its audience, using your development skills to scale our business operations and marketing efforts. This role is open to candidates of all backgrounds and abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing and Acquisition Performance Engineering: Build and manage automated lead generation scripts and landing page experiments, including A/B testing, to lower customer acquisition costs and improve conversion rates.
  • Tracking and Attribution: Implement data layers using tools like Segment or Google Tag Manager to ensure every dollar spent on marketing is accurately tracked back to a specific user action, enabling data-driven decision making.
  • Sales and Funnel Automation: Automate the flow of sign-ups to qualified leads by building custom integrations between our SaaS platform and CRMs such as HubSpot or Pipedrive, reducing manual follow-up time by up to 70%.
  • In-Product Education: Develop onboarding flows, tours, and tooltips within the application to convert free users into paying customers without requiring manual intervention from the sales team.
  • Customer Support and Self-Service Systems: Build and maintain a technical knowledge base and automated chatbots to handle 80% of common IT and support queries, freeing up human resources for complex issues.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of defense for bug reports, fixing minor front-end issues before escalating them to the core development team, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
  • Operations and Scalability: Create automated dashboards using tools like Looker or ChartMogul for the Founder to monitor Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) and churn rates in real time.
  • Process Documentation: Write the playbook for every task you perform so that the next hire, such as a dedicated support representative, can be onboarded instantly and maintain consistency.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BBIT, or any related field is required. Bonus points for a strong GitHub profile or a portfolio demonstrating past SaaS marketing campaigns and software projects. Previous experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies: Full-stack developer background with an active GitHub profile showing contributions to real-world projects. Ability to design, build, and deploy mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms. Proven ability to develop technical sales plans by fully understanding software programs and their capabilities. Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and system automations, including experience with chatbots and machine learning models. Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members.

  • Must have a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new technologies and sales methodologies quickly.
