Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Relentlessly pursue and achieve aggressive revenue goals and quotas through the strategic acquisition of net new enterprise accounts within your designated territory.
- Lead the end-to-end process of acquiring and onboarding large enterprise customers across all industry verticals, ensuring a smooth transition from prospect to long-term partner.
- Develop and implement product-specific Go-To-Market strategies, including detailed forecasting, setting precise sales targets, and rigorous pipeline management to ensure predictable revenue generation.
- Identify, engage, and cultivate long-term strategic relationships with key decision-makers, including CTOs, CIOs, and Heads of Business, to build a robust network of advocates and sponsors.
- Utilize metric-driven strategies, sophisticated persuasion techniques, and direct commercial negotiations to maximize company revenues and secure optimal contract terms.
- Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review meetings with senior leadership to report on progress, forecast accuracy, and strategic initiatives.
Management and Leadership
- Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing B2B sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide consistent guidance, targeted coaching, and constructive feedback to nurture the professional growth and sales acumen of each team member.
- Establish transparent and frequent communication channels, such as daily stand-ups and weekly pipeline reviews, to keep the B2B team fully informed of their progress towards key performance indicators.
- Lead strategic initiatives to build, refine, and scale the company's overall sales function, including process optimization, tool selection, and best practice implementation.
Requirements
Must Haves
- A minimum of 5 years of individual SaaS sales experience, demonstrating a deep and practical understanding of enterprise SaaS positioning, pricing models, and business development strategies across the East African market.
- You must currently be managing a personal sales pipeline with ticket sizes ranging between USD 2 million and USD 4 million annually, showcasing your ability to handle high-value, complex transactions.
- Extensive experience in negotiating complex terms and successfully closing large enterprise deals, including multi-year, mega-deal contracts with stringent legal and procurement requirements.
- A strong, demonstrable understanding of the IT industry and a proven track record of selling enterprise software applications such as HCM, ERP, or CRM solutions, with experience in multi-channel go-to-market models.
- A proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets, coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-focused, and results-driven environment.
