About the Position

• Volunteer directly with abandoned infants found on the streets, children left in unsafe homes, and those orphaned due to HIV/AIDS, poverty, or other crises. You will provide essential care and emotional support to vulnerable children in a structured, nurturing environment.
• Assist with daily care routines including feeding infants and children, preparing nutritious meals, washing dishes and laundry, and maintaining a clean and hygienic living space. You will also help monitor and administer prescribed medications under supervision, ensuring each child receives proper medical attention.
• Engage children in age-appropriate developmental activities such as play, storytelling, and basic learning exercises to promote cognitive and social growth. Your presence will help create a stable, loving atmosphere that fosters healing and resilience.
• Collaborate with local staff and other volunteers to document each child's progress, report any health or behavioral concerns, and contribute to a team dedicated to improving the quality of life for these children.
• Support the facility's operations by organizing donations, restocking supplies, and assisting with light administrative tasks that ensure the home runs smoothly and safely. This role requires compassion, patience, and a commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of the most vulnerable.
