This strategic hunter role owns the full commercial cycle for local and international training programmes, from prospecting and consultative selling to negotiation and closing. Working in a hybrid capacity from Lagos or Ibadan, Nigeria, the specialist will engage C-suite executives and HR leaders, manage a disciplined pipeline, and drive measurable revenue results. This is a fixed-term contract position reporting to the Programme Director, offering a base retainer plus an uncapped performance bonus tied to Net Confirmed Revenue. Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source and cultivate a robust pipeline of qualified corporate leads in the energy, financial services, and manufacturing sectors using market research and data to prioritize strongest opportunities.
  • Engage directly with C-suite executives and HR leadership to articulate the VerdaPrim value proposition, positioning the company as a strategic partner rather than a transactional vendor.
  • Own the entire conversion process including outreach, proposal development, negotiation, and closing, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure proposals accurately reflect client needs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive, live sales pipeline in CRM tools and submit detailed weekly sales activity reports along with monthly business development reviews.
  • Deliver a professional, trust-building experience at every stage of the client journey to support long-term relationships and repeat business.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professional representation, ensuring all communications and social profiles align with VerdaPrim's brand guidelines.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in high-value B2B sales or corporate training and learning services, preferably within energy, financial services, manufacturing, or professional services.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets with a hunter mindset and self-generated pipeline.
  • Strong understanding of business pressures facing leaders in energy, finance, and manufacturing sectors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical capability to use data for lead prioritization, market evaluation, and strategy formulation.
  • Operational discipline to work effectively in a lean, fast-paced environment where output is measured by Net Confirmed Revenue.
  • Based in or able to work hybrid from Lagos, Nigeria, managing multiple priorities independently.
