Graduate Civil Engineer Mining Infrastructure Rotations

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in structured rotations across design, project engineering, site supervision, and consulting teams.
• Assist in the preparation of civil and structural designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications for mining infrastructure projects.
• Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating engineering activities.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of civil works with other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for internal and client review.
• Assist in the evaluation of tenders, procurement of materials, and management of subcontractors.
• Apply health, safety, and environmental standards and promote a safety-first culture on all project sites.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Must have graduated within the last two years (2025 or 2026) to be eligible for the 2027 intake.
• Strong academic record with a minimum cumulative GPA of 65% or equivalent.
• South African citizenship or permanent residency is required.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel or relocate to project sites as required.
• No prior full-time work experience required, but internships or vacation work in civil engineering will be advantageous.
• Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Candidate Engineer.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software is a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.
