.NET Software Engineer (U.S. Remote - Occasional Office Visits Required)

Job Summary

Unison Software, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated .NET Software Engineer to join our agile development team. In this hands-on role, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise web applications within our PRISM product ecosystem, leveraging modern Microsoft technologies while supporting existing legacy systems. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Security teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements. This is a predominantly remote position with infrequent quarterly office visits, all travel costs covered. You will report directly to a Software Development Manager and play a key role in building secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web-based solutions using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Web API, JavaScript, and React.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and client-side applications using React.
• Support and enhance applications built on ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, and legacy .NET Framework.
• Design and implement reusable components, frameworks, and patterns that integrate modern technologies with existing systems.
• Develop and maintain unit tests and integrate them into automated testing pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
• Document code, technical designs, and development processes, and recommend improvements where appropriate.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to analyze requirements and decompose them into testable units of work.
• Communicate progress, risks, and challenges clearly and regularly to team members and management.
• Assist with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis as needed to resolve technical issues.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (BS or MS required).
• Minimum of 4 years of overall professional development experience, with 3-5 years specifically in software development.
• Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
• Experience building RESTful services using ASP.NET Web API.
• Working knowledge of React and modern front-end development practices.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly SQL Server and/or Oracle (PL/SQL is a plus).
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns.
• Proficiency with core web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and error-handling frameworks.
• Proficiency with source control systems, preferably Git.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Skills Inventory

Salary & Compensation Estimation

The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and qualifications. In addition to base pay, Unison offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. As a remote-first company, all necessary equipment is provided, and travel expenses for quarterly office visits are fully covered. This compensation range is competitive for a .NET Engineer with 4+ years of experience in the U.S. market.
