Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including identifying needs, sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and placing purchase orders.
- Implement and maintain effective cost management strategies to ensure procurement activities are within budget and deliver maximum value for the organization.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock control, demand forecasting, and ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate all logistics activities, including transportation planning, route optimization, and delivery scheduling to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement and logistics plans aligned with project timelines and organizational goals.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to understand their requirements, provide regular updates, and ensure seamless integration of procurement and logistics functions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluating their performance and negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, benchmark pricing, and stay informed of industry trends and best practices.
- Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery, proactively resolving any delays or issues.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, including tax laws, import/export requirements, and internal policies.
- Implement quality assurance measures to verify that all procured goods and services meet specified standards and specifications.

Role Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in procurement, asset management, or logistics, with a strong preference for experience within the construction industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, organizational skills, and effective communication.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities with the capacity to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations, including familiarity with Tanzanian tax and trade laws.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with procurement or ERP software.
- Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an added advantage.
