Job Summary

GreatFrontEnd is seeking a Senior Front End Software Engineer to join our fully remote, international team. Key Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to translate growth strategies into actionable technical plans.
• Scope, design, and develop new technical projects, laying the groundwork for early-stage products to evolve and scale iteratively.
• Build and maintain high-quality user interfaces using modern front-end technologies, ensuring a delightful user experience.
• Uphold high engineering standards and bring consistency across multiple codebases and development processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including business and subject matter experts, to deliver impactful features.
• Take ownership of projects end-to-end, from conceptualization to deployment, operating as a full-stack developer when needed.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of front-end infrastructure and tooling.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience, with a strong emphasis on modern front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React.
• Proven ability to build delightful user interfaces and deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Comfort operating as a full-stack developer, owning projects from inception to completion.
• Experience working in a highly collaborative environment with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a motivation to measure success by impact.
• Preferred: Experience with React-based rendering frameworks such as Next.js, Remix, or Docusaurus.
• Preferred: Knowledge of React Server Components, especially within the Next.js 13 app directory.
• Preferred: Experience with Markdown processing, particularly MDX v2 and its ecosystem (Remark, Rehype).
• Preferred: Familiarity with UI libraries like Headless UI or Radix UI, styling with Tailwind CSS, and databases/ORMs such as PostgreSQL, Supabase, and Prisma.
• Preferred: Previous experience in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Skills Inventory

• Expert proficiency in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and React.
• Strong experience with front-end build tools and module bundlers.
• Working knowledge of full-stack development, including backend integration and APIs.
