Software Developer I

Key Responsibilities

• Create baseline software and database products that align with project requirements and organizational standards.
• Collaborate with senior developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, test, and deploy robust software solutions.
• Modify and enhance existing software and database products to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Write and execute unit tests, and participate in peer reviews of technical products to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Troubleshoot, correct, and test code defects, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
• Develop and enhance software modules and features based on established requirements and user stories.
• Implement best practices for software coding, design patterns, and version control to maintain code integrity.
• Collaborate with team members during code reviews, providing constructive feedback and embracing continuous improvement.
• Assist in the prototyping and testing phases of software development to validate concepts and identify potential issues early.
• Produce technical documentation for software components, design decisions, and system architecture.
• Participate actively in AGILE sprints, stand-ups, and team meetings, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience with database technologies, including SQL and relational database management systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative development platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex code issues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary & Compensation Estimation
