Key Responsibilities

• Work independently on assigned software engineering tasks while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance, code reviews, and best practices to help them grow professionally.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver user-centric software features.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify requirements, discuss technical approaches, and demonstrate completed work.
• Raise blockers or issues promptly to ensure smooth project progress and timely delivery.
• Build and maintain modern, responsive user interfaces using frameworks like React or Angular, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Develop and maintain data-driven RESTful APIs using languages such as Python, Go, Node, or Java.
• Administer and optimize cloud infrastructure, servers, or databases, with a preference for AWS experience.
• Write clean, testable code and follow testing best practices to ensure robust and reliable software.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to foster a productive team environment.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, J-1, F-1, CPT, OPT, etc.).
• International relocation or remote work arrangements outside of the U.S. will not be considered.
• Proven experience working in collaborative environments, with strong communication skills to partner with stakeholders.
• Experience with at least one of the following areas: building modern user interfaces (React or Angular preferred), developing REST APIs (Python, Go, Node, or Java), or administering cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• A commitment to high-quality delivery with attention to detail, thorough testing, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Salary & Compensation Estimation

The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience. Based on market data for remote software engineering positions in the United States, the estimated annual base salary ranges from 110,000 to 160,000 USD, depending on seniority and skill set. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, wellness days, disability insurance, a wellness program, retirement savings with a 3% IRA match, 15 days of paid time off, 9 US holidays, 5 wellness days, and a company-wide office closure during the last week of the year. Additional PTO can be earned with tenure. Parental leave is also provided.
