Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Associate to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will drive customer success, expand Oze’s footprint, and forge strong partnerships with financial institutions. You will be at the forefront of client engagement, onboarding new partners, supporting go-to-market strategies, and ensuring that our LMS and business app deliver measurable impact for Nigerian entrepreneurs. This is an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven professional with at least three years of experience in business development, account management, or customer success, who is passionate about solving challenges for MSMEs and eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization. You will work closely with cross-cultural teams, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and interact directly with clients, making a tangible difference in the financial landscape of Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate seamless onboarding for new bank and microfinance institution (MFI) clients, ensuring they are fully equipped to use Oze’s platform effectively and troubleshoot any challenges they encounter.
- Support clients’ go-to-market strategies, providing guidance and best practices to maximize the adoption and impact of Oze’s solutions.
- Coordinate and project manage collaborative initiatives with partner organizations, maintaining alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Identify and cultivate leads for Oze’s LMS and business app to drive growth, expanding Oze’s reach and influence among Nigerian MSMEs.
- Support go-to-market strategies and launch new products within Nigeria, working closely with internal teams and client teams to ensure smooth execution and high adoption rates.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events and workshops, managing logistics, vendor relationships, and on-site operations to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for attendees.
- Be the voice of the customer for Nigerian entrepreneurs by gathering insights and feedback to inform product and marketing strategies, aiming to achieve success levels comparable to Oze’s results in Ghana.
- Work on-site with a financial institution client weekly to encourage active use of Oze’s LMS, guiding their team on implementation best practices and maximizing the platform's benefits.
Role Requirements & Qualifications
- A genuine passion for solving challenges with and for MSMEs.
- At least 3 years of experience in business development, account management, product, or customer success within financial, tech sectors, or other relevant sectors.
- Strong understanding of the financial services landscape in East Africa; experience working directly with financial institutions is a plus.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel to track and interpret key performance indicators.
- Proficiency in HubSpot or comparable CRM platform to manage customer interactions, track sales pipelines, and provide customer service.
- Ability to build strong client relationships, balancing rapport with results-driven interactions.
- Flexibility and efficiency working within a cross-cultural team and a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills to represent Oze’s solutions and mission effectively.
