Associate Software Engineer-Mobile-iOS

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for the Marriott Bonvoy iOS mobile application, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary product teams, including Product Managers, Scrum Masters, UX Designers, Content Strategists, and Quality Assurance, to deliver features that meet global standards.
• Participate in requirements gathering, code reviews, and design discussions to ensure technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Swift, SwiftUI, and related frameworks, following Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Marriott's engineering best practices.
• Integrate with backend services using RESTful APIs and GraphQL, ensuring seamless data flow and robust error handling.
• Comply with defined development processes, including IT governance, security standards, and architecture guidelines, while providing input for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Operations and Infrastructure teams for deployment, monitoring, and production support activities to ensure system reliability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to track progress and adapt to changing priorities.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application issues reported by users or detected through testing, ensuring timely fixes and minimal disruption.
• Stay current with emerging iOS technologies and industry trends, proactively recommending improvements to enhance app functionality and user experience.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience or relevant certifications will also be considered.
• Solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from senior engineers.
• Basic or introductory knowledge of Swift and iOS development is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies is an advantage.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Apple's design principles and App Store submission guidelines is desirable.

Salary & Compensation Estimation

The salary for this Associate Software Engineer position is competitive and commensurate with experience and location. Based on industry standards for entry-level to mid-level iOS engineering roles in the United States, the estimated annual base salary ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 100,000.
