Key Responsibilities
- Perform software and systems engineering tasks within the Software Digital Thread product team, focusing on the 1LMX RMS solution.
- Coordinate and collaborate with external teams to define and refine use cases that align with the digital transformation goals.
- Integrate new and existing products using REST APIs and middleware solutions such as eQube, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Support teams in implementing changes effectively, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint, conducting code reviews and static analysis.
- Participate in agile software and systems development following a two-week sprint rhythm, contributing to planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Leverage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, identifying and resolving integration issues.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including systems engineers, architects, and product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain and enhance containerized applications deployed on AWS, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Document technical designs, integration patterns, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and team efficiency.
Role Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable STEM discipline.
- 9+ years of professional experience in software engineering or related fields.
- Proven experience with GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and delivery.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python, including automation and tooling.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs for system integration.
- Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Practical experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, or similar.
- Strong foundation in software engineering best practices: Git version control, code reviews, static analysis, and rapid debugging of build or test failures.
- Quick learner capable of collaborating effectively with multi-functional engineering teams.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving aptitude and resourcefulness.

Salary & Compensation Estimation
The salary for this position is highly competitive and varies by geographic zone within the United States. For GeoZone 1, which includes high-cost metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale and New York City, the annual salary range is $150,800 to $280,000. GeoZone 2, covering cities like Denver and King of Prussia, offers $135,700 to $251,900. GeoZone 3, including Dallas-Fort Worth and Orlando, ranges from $120,600 to $224,000, while GeoZone 4, for areas like Camden and Ocala, provides $108,600 to $201,600. The final offer is based on experience, skills, and location. In addition to base salary, Lockheed Martin offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, flexible work schedules (such as 4x10), 401(k) match, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, education assistance, and short-term and long-term disability insurance. Annual incentive compensation may also be available based on performance.
