Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Implement and manage data pipelines, including ETL processes, data warehousing solutions, and real-time data streaming.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end components.
• Create mockups and prototypes to visualize design concepts and user flows, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.
• Architect and deploy cloud-native applications, leveraging microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Optimize application performance, ensuring high availability, low latency, and efficient resource utilization.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A degree is preferred but not required.
• 4 to 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a proven track record of delivering production-grade systems.
• Expertise in data engineering concepts, including SQL, ETL processes, data warehousing, and data streaming technologies.
• Strong background in UI/UX principles, with the ability to create mockups and design intuitive interfaces.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile environments, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
• Legal authorization to work in the country of residence without sponsorship.

Skills Inventory

• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

Salary & Compensation Estimation

The estimated annual salary for this remote Senior Software Engineer position ranges from $130,000 to $165,000 USD, depending on experience, location, and specific skills. This range is based on industry benchmarks for senior-level backend engineers with 4 to 5+ years of experience and expertise in data engineering and cloud-native development.
