Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all procurement activities for materials, equipment, and services, ensuring alignment with company policies and strategic objectives.
• Develop and validate comprehensive procurement strategies and sourcing plans that cater to both operational and project-specific requirements.
• Oversee the entire tendering process, including the preparation of RFQs and RFPs, bid evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract award recommendations.
• Drive negotiations for framework agreements, long-term contracts, and strategic supplier agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and supplier performance monitoring, to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
• Provide expert support to management on contractual and commercial risk assessments, offering actionable insights.
• Supervise logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and transportation activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Expedite critical materials and equipment to keep projects on schedule and avoid operational delays.
• Oversee warehouse operations and inventory control, maintaining stock accuracy, material preservation, traceability, and strict HSE compliance.
• Optimize inventory levels and manage critical spare parts to balance availability with cost efficiency.
• Develop and maintain approved vendor lists and supplier prequalification systems to ensure a reliable and compliant supply base.
• Ensure all suppliers adhere to company QA/QC, HSE, ethical, and compliance standards through audits and evaluations.
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with key suppliers and contractors to foster long-term partnerships.
• Coordinate closely with Projects, Operations, Maintenance, Drilling, HSE, and Finance teams to align supply chain activities with broader business goals.
• Ensure the timely procurement and delivery of long-lead items and operationally critical equipment for major projects and drilling campaigns.
• Participate in project reviews, kick-off meetings, and operational risk assessments to provide SCM expertise.
• Uphold strict compliance with local regulations, company procedures, anti-corruption policies, and SCM governance requirements.
• Promote ethical procurement practices and transparency across all supply chain activities, setting a benchmark for the team.
• Develop and track SCM KPIs and reporting tools to monitor departmental performance and drive accountability.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, logistics, and warehousing functions, including ERP optimization and digital transformation.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory.
• A Master's degree or professional SCM certification such as CIPS is an added advantage and will be highly regarded.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management within the oil and gas, energy, mining, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise in procurement, contract management, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
• Sound knowledge of international contracts and commercial practices, with the ability to navigate complex agreements.
• Proven experience managing both operational procurement and project procurement activities, balancing day-to-day needs with strategic initiatives.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems, with a strong aptitude for data analysis and reporting.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail, with a commitment to ethical standards.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project sites, vendor locations, and operational areas as required.
