FLEX Associate Software Engineer - CDP

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Digital Data Collection and Real-Time Personalization team to implement and maintain web event instrumentation for real-time use cases including personalization, audience qualification, and measurement.
• Provide technical specifications and support validation of Adobe Launch (Tags) properties and deployments, including rules, data elements, extensions, environments, and publishing workflows.
• Assist with implementing and validating Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK event payloads aligned to enterprise standards.
• Support instrumentation patterns that enable low-latency decisioning and personalization, such as capturing user actions and context at the right time to support same-page and next-page experiences while avoiding race conditions.
• Partner with product teams to integrate data collection into feature releases, ensuring personalization requirements are met without harming performance.
• Perform quality assurance in lower environments and production validation using browser tools and platform debugging utilities.
• Create and maintain lightweight automated checks or test scripts where appropriate, validating network calls, payload structures, and expected events.
• Build expertise in the Adobe ecosystem and internal standards through pairing, training, and hands-on delivery.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and streamline implementation patterns, including reusable rule templates and naming conventions.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Web Development, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0 - 3 years of relevant experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical field, including internships or academic projects.
• Foundational knowledge of REST APIs, JSON payloads, and programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of data structures, event-driven architectures, and real-time integration concepts.
• Exposure to Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform, Adobe Launch (Tags), or AEP Web/Mobile SDK is preferred.
• Familiarity with digital personalization concepts and tools such as Adobe Target or similar personalization/testing tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with privacy and consent concepts (GDPR/CCPA) and how consent affects data collection is preferred.
• Basic SQL experience and data querying techniques are preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes is preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in writing technical specifications or technical documentation/runbook content.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
