Job Details
- Lead, supervise, and facilitate the smooth execution of Save the Children International's Basic Education and Teacher Professional Development initiatives through the Enabling Teacher Approach, policy advocacy, and community, teacher, and child mobilization within the designated project area.
- Assume full responsibility for monitoring project quality, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, and proactively initiating technical studies focused on education to drive continuous improvement.
- Document lessons learned, disseminate innovations, and promote best practices by collaborating closely with team members in the assigned district of operation.
- Work hand in hand with the Project Manager to guarantee that implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities strictly adhere to established quality standards in education.
- In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to crisis response.
Experience and Skills
Essential:
- University degree in Education, Community Development Studies, Social Work, or Social Administration from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in implementing education projects within a development or humanitarian context, demonstrating a proven track record of effective project management and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent command of pedagogical knowledge, skills, and contemporary understanding of global and national education trends, with the ability to apply these insights to enhance program quality.
Desirable:
- Experience in advocating, mobilizing, and working with multiple stakeholders, including community groups, private sector partners, development agencies, government authorities, and non-governmental organizations.
- Demonstrated experience working in hard-to-reach and remote areas, showing adaptability and resilience in challenging environments.
- Strong understanding of child rights programming and principles, with a commitment to upholding the best interests of children in all activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse audiences and clear reporting of project outcomes.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for data management, reporting, and presentations.
- Motorcycle riding skills and a valid riding permit are mandatory requirements for this position, as travel to remote project sites is essential.
