Faculty Position 1: Construction Management with a Specialization in Sustainability

• Lead research on circular economy principles applied to construction processes, including waste reduction, material reuse, and lifecycle assessment.
• Investigate carbon sequestration methods in building materials, such as bio-based composites, carbon-cured concrete, and alternative binders.
• Develop and promote frameworks for Net-Zero infrastructure, focusing on energy efficiency, renewable integration, and embodied carbon tracking.
• Demonstrate practical exposure to green building certification systems, including LEED, GRIHA, and similar global standards, with the ability to integrate these into curriculum and research.
• Utilize advanced sustainability assessment tools such as One Click LCA, GaBi, SimaPro, or equivalent for quantifying environmental impacts across the construction value chain.
• Collaborate with industry partners to pilot sustainable construction techniques and contribute to policy development for green infrastructure.

Faculty Position 2: Remote Sensing & GIS / Construction Management with a Focus on Information Technology or Digital Twins

• Develop expertise in 4D and 5D Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the creation of Digital Twins for real-time project monitoring and facility management.
• Conduct research on infrastructure health monitoring, including automated progress tracking using sensor data, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms.
• Integrate BIM with Internet of Things (IoT) platforms and reality capture technologies, such as UAV (drone) photogrammetry and LiDAR scanning, for enhanced data acquisition and analysis.
• Demonstrate proficiency with industry-standard tools including Revit, Navisworks, Synchro, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis and construction simulation.
• Explore the use of cloud-based collaboration platforms and data analytics for improving construction safety, productivity, and decision-making.
• Contribute to the development of smart city applications by linking geospatial data with construction management workflows.

Eligibility and Candidate Profile

Applicants must hold a PhD in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Remote Sensing & GIS, or a closely related domain from a recognized university. A strong research orientation evidenced by high-quality publications in reputed international journals is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with postdoctoral experience, industry collaborations, or a proven track record of securing research grants. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to teaching excellence are required. Faculty will be expected to contribute to curriculum development, laboratory setup, and departmental service.
