Key Responsibilities

• Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
• Drive full software development lifecycle activities including coding, testing, deployment, observability, and maintenance to ensure robust and reliable systems.
• Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalability, resilience, and agility across all systems and services.
• Conduct system design reviews to validate feasibility, quality, and alignment with architectural best practices and business objectives.
• Build AI-driven applications and integrate machine learning components to support automation, personalization, and multi-step reasoning.
• Mentor and guide engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence through documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business problems into actionable technical requirements and track success metrics.
• Continuously improve engineering processes and product outcomes using data-driven decision making and problem-solving techniques.
• Ensure adherence to accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.2 AA, and integrate inclusive digital experiences across products.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance system performance and user experience.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area, and at least 4 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
• Option 2: At least 6 years of experience in software engineering or a related field in lieu of a degree.
• Preferred: Master's degree in computer science or a related area with at least 2 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation for building scalable and resilient systems.
• Strong experience in software design patterns, API design, and software prototyping to deliver maintainable and modular solutions.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, or C+.
• Demonstrated ability to lead full software development lifecycle activities, including coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and observability.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions to promote engineering excellence and sustainability.
• Knowledge of digital accessibility best practices, including WCAG 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies, is highly valued.

Skills Inventory

Salary & Compensation Estimation

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000 to $286,000 in Sunnyvale, California, and $110,000 to $220,000 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses, and for certain positions, stock options may be offered.
