Job Summary
Intellibus is seeking a Senior .NET Platform Coach to join our team of experts who build mission-critical platforms for some of the world's largest financial institutions. This is not a traditional engineering role; it is a hands-on technical leadership position focused on elevating the engineering organization around you. You will work across multiple teams to improve software quality, engineering productivity, development standards, and AI-assisted software delivery. You will coach engineers, introduce modern practices, leverage AI development tools, and help teams build scalable, maintainable enterprise software. Key Responsibilities
- Coach engineering teams on modern .NET engineering practices, including Clean Architecture, SOLID Principles, Domain-Driven Design, Design Patterns, Test-Driven Development, and Refactoring.
- Drive engineering excellence initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring consistent adoption of best practices.
- Perform architecture and code reviews to identify improvements in software quality, maintainability, and reliability.
- Introduce AI-assisted development using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar technologies.
- Mentor engineers on advanced software design principles and help them write cleaner, more maintainable code.
- Improve engineering productivity through automation, identifying technical debt, and modernization opportunities.
- Define engineering standards and coding guidelines to be adopted across the organization.
- Promote CI/CD best practices using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and other tools.
- Drive engineering metrics including code quality, developer productivity, deployment frequency, change failure rate, and mean time to recovery (MTTR).
- Help teams adopt observability and production engineering best practices using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, DataDog, and Dynatrace.
- Conduct workshops and technical coaching sessions to upskill engineering teams.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering leadership to continuously improve delivery processes.
Role Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a staff-level or senior technical leadership role.
- Extensive experience with C#, .NET 8 / .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proven experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Experience with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, DataDog, or Dynatrace.
- Excellent mentoring and coaching skills, with a passion for helping engineers grow.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to conduct technical workshops.

Salary & Compensation Estimation
The compensation for this contract role is between $75 and $85 per hour, which translates to an annual equivalent of approximately $156,000 to $176,800 based on a standard 40-hour work week and 52 weeks per year. This rate is competitive for a staff-level coaching role that requires deep technical expertise and the ability to influence multiple teams.
