Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze product consumption patterns and historical data to forecast demand accurately, ensuring that purchasing plans align with current and future inventory needs.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, conducting thorough market research to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality standards.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment conditions, and manage procurement contracts to ensure compliance and performance.
  • Monitor delivery timelines and track shipment statuses to guarantee timely receipt of goods, proactively addressing any delays or discrepancies to prevent stockouts.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels by coordinating with warehouse and inventory teams, using forecasting tools and demand planning to avoid overstocking or shortages.
  • Prepare detailed purchasing and pricing reports for management, highlighting cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including quality assurance and finance, to ensure all procured items meet regulatory standards and budget constraints.
  • Keep abreast of industry regulations and changes in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic market, adjusting procurement strategies as needed to maintain compliance and competitiveness.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement or supply chain management, with a proven track record in sourcing and supplier negotiation.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, suppliers, and market dynamics, including familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical and cosmetic goods.
  • Demonstrated experience in demand forecasting, inventory management, and contract administration.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret consumption data and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is an added advantage.
