Software Engineer - Full Stack

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack web applications using React, Node.js, Next.js, and Python to support critical government systems.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate user requirements into intuitive, accessible interfaces.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and third-party services to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508) and security compliance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Implement automated testing strategies using tools like Jest, Cypress, or Selenium to ensure software quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, optimizing performance and scalability.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and recommend technology improvements.
• Assist in gathering user requirements and creating technical documentation for both internal and client use.

Role Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience with modern front-end and back-end stacks (Python, React, Node.js, Next.js, CSS).
• Proven experience gathering user requirements and translating them into UI designs.
• Strong understanding of API integration (REST, GraphQL) and microservices architecture.
• Must be eligible for a U.S. government Public Trust clearance; a background investigation is required.
• Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment.
• In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of software engineering experience is acceptable.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.
